Festivals

Music Festivals - they are great, there are loads that you can go to, which offer a wide variety of music.

But yet again the bloody government has to get involved and moan about the amount of drugs and violence at the festivals, what i say to them - "Piss off!", people are paying good money to get there tickets to enjoy the festivals the way they want to, they know the risks of what might happen at the festivals, but still thousands flock to go to them, they are sold out with in a matter of minutes, hours, days, I don't see any government ran event reaching such volumes, you know why? It's because they are too bloody strict.

But don't get me wrong some laws are put there for a reason, fair enough but you don;t have to go and create another ten to ruin peoples fun at festivals. Come on, can you imagine what Woodstock would be like if the cops came to do a drugs raid, they wouldn't hav enough trucks to take the people to prison, let alone space in the prison. So too the government we all know there is going to be drug use at festivals, we all know that there is going to a bit of violences, BUT WE STILL GO

What do you think about security at festivals? Do you think they are going to far?

Kerrang! Tour 2010

The Kerrang! Tour 2010 played a series of dates during January, I managed to grab some tickets to see the show at Norwich UEA.

We got to the gig and the queue was bloody huge, the queue was nearly into the car park. By the time that we all got allowed to go in the place was packed, you could feel the excitement in the venue.

Then the first band came on the stage to introduce themselves, they go by the name Young Guns.

They started to play some of there new songs, EVERYONE was into it, the place was booming, every one was one their feet and jumping. The crowd were going crazy, but then their set had finished and they had to pass the gauntlet on to the next band.

My Passion.

They were the second band in the line up, and to be quite honest, they were SHIT! Their songs was naff, they did work with the crowd they just played, and they were really up there on arses thinking that they were better than all of us. But that didn't matter I was extremely excited about the band that were going to follow them, THE BLACKOUT!

The Blackout came onto the stage, the crowd made a deafening roar, the band introduced themselves and then started to play ShutTheFuckUpperCut! the crowd went mental, everyone was jumping higher than they could, the mosh pit got bigger and as for the band they played louder.

It was awesome the band involved themselves within the crowd Shaun was getting everyone that was standing at the edge of the arena to come and join the rest of them, and they did. Then they played their biggest hit, Children of The Night, before they played this song Shaun got everyone to knee down on their knees, it was awesome, come on they got the whole crowd to sit down in the middle of a gig, anyway we were all on our knees watching for the drop in of Children of The Night and when it did the whole crowd simultaneously jump on to their feet and jump like bats out of hell.

Then it was the turn of the headline act, All Time Low, I wasn't that excited for this band due to how immense The Blackout were. But, All Time Low did play their guts out.

Overall I think that the line up would have been better going like this:

  • My Passion, kicking the gig off.
  • Young Guns in second.
  • All Time Low.
  • And finally The Blackout headlining.

Old People

Well I thought that I would start off with a bit of a moan about old people, my god they are annoying I don’t think that anyone in the world could top old people on how annoying they are. For instances, I work in a local restaurant as a sous-chef and I never have had so many people complain about food or make so many changes to the menu to fit their needs, and I know what your thinking, the customer is always right, rubbish, they are so so annoying. I don’t know how they manage it but they bring the worst out of me, they just bug me so much. Again, this is an example of what actually happened to me in a supermarket when I was getting my dinner; I was standing in the queue waiting to get to the front to pay for my food and drink, and out of nowhere this old woman with one of them biddy trolleys, that are tartan pattern that they all have, and just pushed in front of me and I know I should have been nice and let her go in front of me but I was hungry, on a time limit and I wanted my food so I just walked a bit out of the queue and pushed back in front and went, “I was in front of you, but you pushed in” and then she gave me the cheek to argue back with me who was there first. Just because your old doesn’t mean that you can push into queues, steal things and then blame it on your “old” memory, and just be plain rude to people and except them to be nice back to you.
